KARACHI (The Palestine Foundation Pakistan)
The Central President of Imamia Students Organization (ISO) Pakistan, Amin Shirazi, along with his delegation, called on Dr. Sabir Abu Maryam, Secretary General of Palestine Foundation Pakistan (PLF), on Thursday. The meeting focused on strengthening joint efforts for the Palestinian cause amid intensifying global challenges.
During the discussion, Dr. Sabir Abu Mariam strongly condemned the recently adopted UN Security Council resolution, terming it biased, unjust, and supportive of Israeli designs against the Palestinian people. He discussed with Amin Sherazi that such resolutions exposed the double standards of the international system and undermined the legitimate struggle of Palestinians against occupation.
Dr. Sabir Abu Maryam and Amin Sherazi also expressed serious concerns regarding reports about the potential deployment of Pakistani troops to Gaza under any externally influenced arrangement, warning that such moves could be exploited to safeguard Israeli interests. They reiterated that Pakistan’s national policy must remain aligned with its historic stance of unwavering support for Palestine’s freedom struggle.
They further criticized ongoing efforts by certain quarters to create space for Pakistan-Israel relations, calling such attempts “completely unacceptable, unethical, and against the aspirations of the Pakistani nation.” They reaffirmed that the people of Pakistan have always stood firmly with Palestine and will never accept normalization with the occupier.
Dr. Sabir Abu Maryam appreciated ISO Pakistan for its continuous solidarity and urged the youth to intensify awareness campaigns, especially in educational institutions, to counter false narratives and highlight the ongoing genocide in Gaza. He emphasized that strong youth engagement is essential to sustaining global pressure against Israeli aggression.
ISO President Amin Shirazi reaffirmed his organization’s commitment to defending the Palestinian cause at every forum. He said that the youth of Pakistan stand shoulder to shoulder with the oppressed Palestinians and will continue their advocacy efforts through nationwide awareness programs, seminars, and social mobilization.
Both sides agreed to enhance coordination for future initiatives, including joint campaigns, educational outreach, and nationwide solidarity events. They also reiterated their determination to counter any move that aims to weaken Pakistan’s historic support for Palestine.
Among the delegation were former ISO Pakistan President Syed Fakhar Naqvi, Karachi General Secretary Hassan Rizvi, while PLF was represented by Mukhtar Raza and Muhammad Shehryar.
The meeting concluded with a mutual resolve to intensify collective efforts for the freedom of Palestine and to oppose all policies that undermine the struggle of the Palestinian people.
