President Zardari Honors Palestinian Resilience on Solidarity Day

ISLAMABAD,(The Palestine Foundation Pakistan)
President Asif Ali Zardari, in his message on the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, paid glowing tribute to the courage, resilience and steadfast resolve of the Palestinian nation, stating that their struggle has written “a new chapter in the annals of history.”

The President reaffirmed Pakistan’s deep-rooted and historic ties with Palestine, stressing that the country’s support for the Palestinian cause is grounded in universal principles of human dignity, justice and fairness. He noted that the bond between the people of Pakistan and Palestine is built on mutual respect and affection, recalling that even seven years before Pakistan’s creation, the Lahore Resolution of 1940 included an expression of solidarity with Palestine.

President Zardari strongly condemned the ongoing atrocities being committed by Israeli occupying forces in Gaza, emphasizing that Pakistan has consistently raised its voice for the Palestinians at every international platform. He reiterated Pakistan’s repeated calls for an immediate and unconditional ceasefire, unhindered humanitarian access, protection of civilians, and full accountability for Israeli war crimes.

He noted that Pakistan continues to advocate for Palestinian rights at the United Nations, the OIC, the ICJ and other global arenas, and has played a constructive role in the Gaza Peace Deal in hopes of ending the “unimaginable suffering” caused by Israeli aggression.

The President vowed that Pakistan will continue to extend all political, diplomatic, humanitarian and moral support to the Palestinian people. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering backing for their inalienable rights and their aspiration for freedom and dignity, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as the rightful capital of a free Palestine.

President Zardari concluded his message with a heartfelt wish: “May the resilience of the Palestinian people awaken the conscience of the world. I pray for the day when I will have the honour of offering prayers at Al-Aqsa Mosque beside my Palestinian brothers. Inshallah.”
