JENIN, (The Palestine Information Centre)A group of Jewish settlers attacked Palestinian vehicles passing near Ya`bad town in Jenin on Tuesday evening.
Local sources affirmed that settlers threw stones and empty bottles at the passing vehicles near the “Dotan” military checkpoint.
The settler attack was carried out under the Israeli army’s protection, the sources added.
The settlers also closed the main road linking Jenin, Tulkarem, and Ya’bad and prevented Palestinian movement in both directions.
Meanwhile, the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) arrested a young man after stopping his car near Arraba town, southwest of Jenin.
Along the same line, the IOF stormed the eastern region of Nablus amid heavy firing of live ammunition, which led to the outbreak of violent clashes.
The military raid came to protect against the settlers’ incursion into the Youssef Tomb site in the occupied West Bank city.
