AL-KHALIL (Palestine Foundation Information Center)A group of Jewish settlers kidnapped a Palestinian man on Sunday evening after brutally assaulting him in the Masafer Yatta area, southeast of al-Khalil in the southern occupied West Bank.
Eyewitnesses and local sources confirmed that settlers, dressed in Israeli military uniforms, attacked Ibrahim Al-Nawajaa before abducting him from the Wadi Jehish area of Masafer Yatta.
Local activist Osama Makhamrah reported that the settlers also erected electricity poles on privately owned Palestinian land in the Umm Al-Shaqhan area, opposite Tel Ma’in in Masafer Yatta, extending toward the illegal settlement of “Avigail,” which is built on Palestinian land.
Violent attacks by Israeli forces and settlers against Palestinians and their property in the West Bank have escalated significantly since the start of the Gaza genocide.
According to a report issued by the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, 1,693 attacks were recorded in April alone, 1,352 carried out by the Israeli army and 341 by settlers.
