OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (The Palestine Foundation Pakistan)A Palestinian citizen was martyred on Wednesday morning after the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) assaulted him in al-Ram town, north of Jerusalem.
According to local sources, Israeli soldiers severely beat 57-year-old Salim al-Far, from Zababdeh town in Jenin, as he was trying to reach his workplace in Israel (1948 occupied Palestine) through the separation wall in al-Ram town.
Medical sources said the citizen died of internal head injuries and was transported to the hospital after the IOF handed his body over to a Red Crescent ambulance crew.
Israel, an occupying power, prevents the development of an independent Palestinian economy by restricting imports, exports, industrial development and movement, and by taking over land reserves and other Palestinian resources. This leaves Palestinians with no possibility to make a substantial living within the West Bank and forces them to risk entering Israel to find daily jobs to support themselves and their families.
