DAMASCUS, (The Palestine Foundation Pakistan)An Israeli force arrested four individuals in Syria’s southern Daraa province during a new Israeli incursion, according to the Syrian Al-Ikhbariya channel on Saturday.
The official channel reported on its account on the X platform that Israeli occupation forces detained four young men from the village of Jamla in western rural Daraa during a dawn raid on Saturday.
There has been no immediate response from Syrian authorities regarding the incident, which is considered another Israeli violation, despite ongoing talks of de-escalation between Damascus and Tel Aviv.
Since the fall of Bashar al-Assad’s regime in December 2024, Israel has violated Syrian sovereignty on numerous occasions through airstrikes and by expanding its territorial occupation.
Israeli occupation forces have also stormed the buffer zone in the Golan Heights and launched hundreds of airstrikes on military sites across Syria.
Damascus has condemned the Israeli attacks and repeated incursions into Quneitra, Daraa, and the Damascus countryside, asserting that they hinder efforts to achieve stability and constitute violations of the international law and the 1974 disengagement agreement.
Since 1967, Israel has occupied most of the Syrian Golan Heights. Following the fall of Assad’s regime, it seized the Syrian buffer zone and declared the disengagement agreement null and void.
