Al-Aqsa closure continues as restrictions in Jerusalem intensify

OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), The Israeli occupation police have continued to bar Muslim worshipers from entering the Aqsa Mosque for the 25th consecutive day, citing the same security pretexts linked to the war on Iran to justify the closure of the holy site.

The closure of the Aqsa Mosque persists amid a heavy deployment of Israeli forces and security checkpoints throughout the Old City, which remains accessible only to Palestinian residents of its neighborhoods.

Muslim worshipers are still forced to perform their prayers in the Old City’s streets, amid economic paralysis and disruption of daily life and education.

Meanwhile, settler groups have launched an incitement campaign against the Aqsa Mosque on social media, circulating an AI‑generated video that simulates the bombing of the Dome of the Rock prayer building.

Since the outbreak of the Zio-American aggression against Iran on February 28, the Israeli police have closed the Aqsa Mosque, banning prayers throughout most of the holy month of Ramadan, as well as the Eid al‑Fitr prayer.
