WEST BANK, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), Senior Hamas official Hussam Badran spoke over the phone with Father Manuel Musallam to check on his condition following a recent health setback, wishing him a full and swift recovery.
Father Manuel Musallam is a noted Palestinian priest and the head of the World Popular Organization for Jerusalem Justice and Peace.
During Monday’s phone call, Badran and Father Musallam discussed different issues in the Palestinian arena, including national elections and the current ceasefire efforts.
Badran affirmed that his Movement intends to actively participate in the upcoming elections as part of the largest possible national coalition to foster Palestinian unity and strengthen political partnership.
Father Musallam, for his part, conveyed his greetings and best wishes to the Hamas leadership, expressing appreciation for its national positions and reaffirming his support for Palestinians’ adherence to their legitimate rights.
The Father highlighted the need to strengthen Palestinian unity and steadfastness during these challenging times, calling for a firm national stance to protect Palestinian rights and constants.
