RAMALLAH (Palestine Foundation Information Center) The number of martyrs, who were killed during the current year in the West Bank or Jerusalem and whose bodies are still being held by the Israeli Occupation Authority (IOA), has increased to 58 people, including a Turkish citizen, according to a local group.
According to a Palestinian national campaign formed to retrieve martyrs’ bodies and probe the fate of missing persons, the IOA is holding the bodies of 500 martyrs inside refrigerators and in cemeteries containing graves marked only by numbers.
Those 58 martyrs who were killed during the past five months do not include citizens from Gaza.
The national campaign says there is no information about the number of the Gaza martyrs whose bodies are still being withheld by the Israeli occupation army.
