OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), Sheikh Ekrima Sabri, head of the Higher Islamic Council in Occupied Jerusalem, has called on Palestinian citizens to frequent the Aqsa Mosque and intensify their presence in its courtyards and premises.
In a statement on Monday, Sheikh Sabri stressed that the constant presence of Muslim worshipers today constitutes “the strongest line of defense against Israeli attempts to impose a new Judaization fait accompli at the Islamic holy site.”
Sheikh Sabri warned that the escalating Judaization schemes pose a real and direct threat to the Islamic identity of the Aqsa Mosque, especially as Jewish settlers recently intensified their tours and Talmudic prayers at the holy site.
“The growing settler calls to establish a Jewish synagogue inside the Mosque’s courtyards are part of obvious efforts by the Israeli occupation authority and settler groups to divide the holy site temporally and spatially as a prelude to building the alleged temple,” he added.
