WEST BANK, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) stormed different areas of the West Bank last night and on Thursday morning, raiding homes and kidnaping at least 36 Palestinian citizens.
In al-Khalil, the IOF kidnaped 22 citizens following raids on homes in the city, and the towns of Idhna, Deir Samet, as-Samu, and Yatta.
In Qalqilya, Israeli forces kidnaped nine ex-detainees during a dawn raid in the city of Qalqilya.
In Bethlehem, five citizens were taken prisoner following IOF raids on homes in the village of Husan.
In Tulkarem’s Dinnaba suburb, Israeli forces broke into and ransacked the house of Muayad Shaaban, head of the Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission, at dawn and detained him and his family in one room.
It was the second raid on his home in two months. His sons, Ayham and Ibrahim, both remain in Israeli detention, with Ibrahim held without trial for 18 months.
In southeast Jerusalem, Israeli forces raided the home of Ata Jabr, director of the al-Eizariya municipality, in the town of Eizariya. They reportedly assaulted him during the raid, resulting in his transfer to a nearby medical center for medical assistance.
According to the Jerusalem Governorate, Israeli soldiers vandalized and wreaked havoc on the contents of four homes belonging to Ata Jabr, his mother, and his two brothers, Maher and Jabr.
In Tubas, Israeli forces raided the towns of Tammun and Aqaba overnight.
The Palestinian Prisoner Society said Israeli soldiers raided several homes in the town of Aqaba north of Tubas before seizing a house and detaining about 25 citizens inside it for interrogation.
The IOF also carried out raids in other areas of the West Bank, with no reported arrests.
