Eastern Gaza faces renewed Israeli attacks amid ongoing destruction

GAZA, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), Israeli forces continued violating the Gaza ceasefire on Thursday, carrying out artillery shelling, heavy gunfire, and demolition operations across several areas of the Gaza Strip.

A local source reported that a Palestinian woman was wounded by Israeli military fire in the Al-Faluja area, west of the Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza.

Israeli artillery also shelled northwestern Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip, while Israeli military vehicles opened heavy fire east of Khan Yunis and east of the Al-Tuffah neighborhood in eastern Gaza City.

Israeli forces also demolished residential buildings east of Gaza City.

Israeli naval vessels opened fire toward the sea off Khan Yunis and the central Gaza coast.

Israeli forces have continued to violate the ceasefire agreement in Gaza through air and artillery strikes targeting areas sheltering displaced civilians, as well as demolition and destruction operations inside the so-called “Yellow Line,” while maintaining restrictions on the movement of goods, humanitarian aid, and travel.

According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, the number of Palestinians killed since the ceasefire took effect on October 10 has risen to 1,094, with 3,507 injured and 799 bodies recovered.

The ministry added that the overall toll since the start of the Israeli offensive on October 7, 2023, has reached 73,120 Palestinians killed and 173,615 injured, underscoring the high human cost of the Israeli assault on the Gaza Strip.
