JENIN (Palestine Foundation Information Center) An elderly Palestinian woman died of her critical injury after being shot by Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Thursday morning in the town of Faqqua, northeast of Jenin, in the northern West Bank.
Local sources explained that Hanan Abu Salama, 59, was martyred after being shot in the back by the IOF while she was picking olives in her land near the separation wall in the town.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society reported that its crews treated the injured woman, who was in a very critical condition, before she was transferred to hospital where she was proclaimed dead due to her critical injury.
In a related incident, IOF soldiers and Jewish settlers attacked Palestinian farmers and foreign volunteers in the village of Kufr al-Labad, east of Tulkarem, as well as in the towns of Qaryut, Jalud, and Qusra, south of Nablus, on Thursday morning and forced them to leave their lands.
