First Caravan of Global March to Jerusalem has reached Karachi on Saturday. The participants of the caravan belong to Indonesia, Malaysia and Philippine.
According to a statement issued from Palestine Foundation (PLF) of Pakistan, hundreds of delegates are part of the GMJ (Global March to Jerusalem).
The PLF Pakistan’s central leaders and members of the working committee accorded warm welcome to the Asian caravan’s delegates. They showered the guests with rose petals and offered them with garlands. People from various walks of life including media correspondents received them amid the pro-Palestinian slogans.
More delegations are to reach here to join this caravan. They include a caravan from India that reaches Pakistan via Wahga Border. They will address press and also visit mausoleum of founder of Pakistan Mohammad Ali Jinnah. Asian caravan will reach Beirut via Iran and Turkey.
Palestinian ambassador to Pakistan Dr Hazem Abu Shanab and Pakistani leaders and eminent religious scholars will also participate in programmes to be held in honour of the Asian Caravan.
More caravans from other continents will also join Global March to Jerusalem on March 30.
