Five Killed as Israeli Bombing Hits Al-Shati Refugee Camp in Gaza

GAZA, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), Five Palestinians were killed and others injured on Tuesday evening in an Israeli airstrike targeting the Al-Shati refugee camp west of Gaza City, bringing the total number of people killed in the Strip in one single day to 11.

The PIC correspondent reported that an Israeli drone struck a group of civilians near a power generator in the camp, resulting in the recovery of five bodies and leaving 11 others wounded.

Earlier, four Palestinians, including a police officer and a child, were killed and others injured when a police vehicle was targeted on Al-Nafaq Street in Gaza City.

Meanwhile, a teenage boy was killed after being shot by Israeli forces in the Halawa area of Jabalia in northern Gaza.

On Wednesday, Israeli forces continued violations of the ceasefire agreement for the 188th consecutive day, carrying out gunfire and artillery shelling.

A local source reported that Israeli military vehicles opened fire in the vicinity of the Al-Tahliya area south of Khan Yunis in southern Gaza.

Israeli artillery also shelled eastern Khan Yunis and the eastern areas of Gaza City.

Tanks fired heavily east of Jabalia in northern Gaza, while artillery shelling targeted eastern areas of Al-Bureij refugee camp and Deir al-Balah in central Gaza, accompanied by intense gunfire from military vehicles.

Israel has waged a war of genocide against Gaza’s population since October 7, 2023, with US and European support, engaging in widespread killing, starvation, destruction, displacement, and mass arrests, while ignoring international calls and International Court of Justice orders to cease hostilities. A ceasefire was brokered on October 10, 2025 but Israel violates its provisions on daily basis.
