GAZA, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), Four Palestinians, including a child who was in critical condition, were martyred and others were wounded on Wednesday following Israeli attacks in the Gaza Strip.
According to media sources, two citizens were killed and others were injured, some critically, in an Israeli drone strike on an electric scooter in the southwest of Gaza City.
Earlier, the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) reporter said that 10-year-old Abdul-Rahman Awad succumbed to wounds he sustained last Monday in an Israeli strike near al-Saroukh junction, north of Gaza City.
In southern Gaza, a citizen was killed and another one was injured in an Israeli drone strike in the al-Mawasi area of al-Qarara, north of Khan Yunis.
Another civilian was wounded by Israeli gunfire in al-Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza.
Meanwhile, two schoolgirls were injured by Israeli gunfire during a morning assembly at a girls’ school in the Jabalia area of northern Gaza.
Gaza’s ministry of education said Israeli forces opened fire towards the school and the area around it, injuring sixth-grade student Suaad Abd Rabbo, who was shot in the thigh and required surgery, while fourth-grade student Amena Khadr sustained abdominal injuries.
The ministry said “the incident comes amid a growing pattern of attacks on Palestinian students and children,” noting that six children had been killed and several others injured over the past two days.
It called for urgent international action to protect students and educational staff, curb Israeli attacks on schools and children, and hold those responsible accountable.
Additionally, widespread military activity, including shooting incidents, artillery shelling, drone overflights, and demolitions, was reported in different areas of Gaza today.
