(Palestine Foundation Information Center), Has a deep and unsettling silence enveloped our collective conscience? Have we gradually accustomed ourselves to forgetting one of the worst and most brutal atrocities in human history?
This question arises today from every heart that still possesses even a shred of humanity and faith. The cries of innocent children echoing through the streets of Gaza, mothers carrying the funeral biers of their beloved children, and horrific videos of rescue workers being targeted while trying to save the wounded, these are devastating realities. Yet, our social media-obsessed world and daily society remain largely indifferent and oblivious to this carnage.
The Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) likened the Muslim Ummah to a single body, if one part of it suffers, the entire body remains awake, feeling the pain. Today, however, whether it is Gaza, Lebanon, Yemen, or Iran, the wounded body of this Ummah is bleeding and writhing in agony. Meanwhile, we remain so deeply immersed in our petty political debates, domestic disputes, and narrow personal interests that we fail to hear its cries.
This apathy is not confined to the public; it has deeply penetrated the corridors of Muslim power. A heavy padlock of political expediency and silence has sealed the lips of Muslim rulers, pushing both humanity and faith-driven honor into oblivion. History never forgives, and today’s silence will be written as a dark chapter on the face of the Muslim Ummah for generations to come.
In the current global and regional landscape, Palestine is not merely a geographical patch or a localized territorial dispute; it is the beating heart of world peace and the very existence of the Muslim Ummah. The flames of war currently spreading across Yemen, Lebanon, and Iran are direct consequences of a single central point: the illegal Zionist occupation of Palestine and the sinister geopolitical game of creating a “Greater Israel.”
The warmongering and expansionist policies of the Zionist regime and its chief patron, the United States, have pushed the entire region to the brink of catastrophe. Today, the US and Israel are openly flouting international laws, carrying out terrorist agendas in Iran and wherever else they please, with no global authority willing to stop them.
The systematic devastation of Beirut and southern Lebanon is a calculated attempt to break the hands and voices raised in support of Palestine. The sole objective of Hezbollah in Lebanon is the liberation of Palestine and the reclaiming of Al-Quds (Jerusalem). Hezbollah is being relentlessly targeted so that it might abandon the Palestinian cause. Yet, Hezbollah has pledged that no matter the scale of sacrifice required, they will never back down from the struggle for Palestinian freedom.
Yemen’s courageous actions in the Red Sea have proved that while global superpowers remain silent spectators, a handful of resilient freedom fighters are willing to sacrifice their lives to break the siege on Gaza. Despite facing airstrikes and a continuous, brutal blockade intended to starve Yemeni children, Yemen’s stance remains resolute: “We can sacrifice everything for Palestine, but we will never sacrifice Palestine.”
The ongoing aggression and conspiracies against Iran are part of the same chain. The continuous US-Israeli hostility and violations of Iran’s sovereignty are desperate attempts to weaken the entire “Axis of Resistance” that stands behind the Palestinian cause. From Ayatollah Khamenei to dozens of top military and political commanders, lives have been laid down to keep the flag of Palestine flying high.
Ultimately, the core and pivot of all these regional conflicts remain the liberation of Palestine and Al-Quds. Every drop of blood spilled and every front opened in Lebanon, Yemen, and Iran are connected links in the defense of the oppressed people of Gaza.
The warmongering policies of the United States and its blatant protection of Israeli crimes are no longer a secret. On international forums, Western leaders hypocritically preach about ceasefires, while simultaneously supplying Israel with billions of dollars in lethal weaponry to sustain the ongoing genocide of innocent Palestinians. This is a resounding slap on the face of the self-proclaimed “civilized world” and human rights champions, completely exposing the impotence and complicity of the United Nations and other international bodies.
If we do not re-evaluate our priorities today, if we do not shake off this shroud of laziness and inaction, and fail to raise an effective, practical voice for the oppressed Palestinians, there will be no one left to hear our own cries tomorrow. History bears witness that nations that bargain away their conscience, values, and humanity eventually lose their dignity, identity, and place on the map of the world.
We must rise above our personal, sectarian, and political differences. We must make our rulers realize that the time for mere lip service and empty condemnatory resolutions has long passed. What we need now is an active, systematic boycott of Israel and its patrons on economic, political, and diplomatic fronts.
The cry of Gaza is a test of our faith and our shared humanity. This journey of awakening must begin with each one of us, in our homes, with our pens, and within our respective spheres of influence. Otherwise, we will have no answers for our children tomorrow, nor for our Creator on the Day of Judgment.
