GAZA, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), A coalition of Palestinian civil society groups has demanded urgent global action to stop the targeting of Gaza’s children, warning that ongoing strikes have rendered the ceasefire meaningless and calling for immediate accountability for Israeli violations.
The coalition stressed on Thursday that persistent child casualties in Gaza expose the fragility of international protection guarantees, insisting that safeguarding children is a non-negotiable legal and moral commitment.
Unrelenting Israeli attacks empty the truce of its humanitarian purpose and shatter trust in international safeguards, the groups underlined.
The UN and UNICEF have repeatedly documented and reported the ongoing martyrdom of Palestinian children in Gaza despite the ceasefire that has been in effect since October 2025.
On August 6, UNICEF reported that at least 300 children were killed in the 300 days following the ceasefire announcement, averaging nearly one child per day, with hundreds more suffering moderate to severe injuries.
