Gaza (Palestine Foundation Information Center), The “Al-Haris” platform on the Telegram app, operating under the resistance’s security apparatus in Gaza, announced on September 1, 2026, the arrest of three informants, including a woman, after foiling an attempt to abduct a prominent figure in Gaza.
In a statement, the platform said that preliminary investigations and the items found in the suspects’ possession indicated that they had been posing as an international humanitarian organization in order to facilitate their movements in the area and collect intelligence.
According to statements given by the detainees, an Israeli special forces unit involved in the operation had arrived at its position only a few hours before its presence was exposed and had not been stationed there beforehand.
The statement added that one of the detainees said the unit’s presence was exposed following a clash between Officer Moeen al-Arabid and the special forces unit. The incident caused confusion among the members of the unit and forced the operation’s commander to request assistance and work to evacuate the unit from the area.
Al-Haris confirmed that the information contained in its statement was based on preliminary testimonies and ongoing investigations. It indicated that efforts would continue to monitor the operation and uncover all aspects of the incident.
