GAZA, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), More than 2.4 million Palestinians in Gaza are marking Eid al-Fitr under worsening humanitarian conditions, amid ongoing Israeli restrictions, widespread destruction, and severe shortages of basic necessities.
According to the Government Media Office, the holiday comes with little sign of celebration as families face acute shortages of food, water, and medicine, leaving many unable to meet even basic needs.
The report said Israeli occupation forces have committed over 2,000 ceasefire violations since October 2025, including shootings, incursions, and air strikes, resulting in at least 677 Palestinians killed and more than 1,800 injured, most of them civilians.
Aid delivery remains severely limited, with only about 40 percent of the expected humanitarian and commercial trucks entering Gaza, while restrictions on travel through the Rafah crossing have further deepened the crisis.
Officials warned that the continued blockade and violations are worsening the humanitarian situation and called on the international community to ensure the immediate flow of aid and protection for civilians.
