JENIN, (The Palestine Information Centre) Today, a general strike has been observed across the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem in solidarity with Jenin and in mourning for the Palestinian citizens who were massacred in the ongoing Israeli aggression.
Businesses, schools, and facilities observed the strike and shut down their doors in different West Bank and Jerusalem areas.
The Palestinian factions and their coordination committee called for a general strike.
The factions’ coordination committee also called for rallying at the Bab az-Zaqaq junction at 12:00 o’clock in the afternoon to support their compatriots in Jenin.
The strike has taken place following a heated night of angry marches and rallies in the West Bank and Jerusalem.
More protests and confrontations with the Israeli occupation forces are expected today as the Israeli military aggression against Jenin continues in full force for the second day.
