GAZA (Palestine Foundation Information Center) Gaza’s Government Media Office (GMO) has criticized UN organizations for storing fuel in the Gaza Strip and leaving desperate hospitals to face tragedies without helping it.
In a statement on Tuesday, GMO expressed dismay at some UN organizations in Gaza “for piling thousands of liters of fuel in their warehouses while Gaza’s hospitals and humanitarian institutions are facing a severe shortage.”
GMO warned that the severe fuel shortage at Gaza’s hospitals, especially in the north, threatens the lives of patients and wounded people, calling such a practice an “unjustified behavior that contradicts the UN’s humanitarian and moral duty.”
GMO said that such a UN behavior, which it also described as “serious,” reflects the failure of these organizations to perform the mission assigned to them in light of the unprecedented humanitarian disaster in Gaza.
