GAZA, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), Gaza’s Government Media Office (GMO) said Israeli occupation forces have committed 4,091 violations of the ceasefire agreement over 300 days, killing more than 1,254 Palestinians and wounding 4,121 others.
In a statement on Thursday, the GMO elaborated that the violations included direct military attacks, the continued obstruction of humanitarian aid and restrictions on travel to and from the Gaza Strip, further worsening living and humanitarian conditions.
It said 159 Palestinians were arrested during the period covered by the agreement, adding that only 63,094 aid trucks had entered Gaza out of 180,000 expected under the deal, a compliance rate of just 35%.
The GMO added that Israeli authorities allowed only 10,703 people to travel out of Gaza through the Rafah crossing, out of 27,400 who were supposed to be permitted to leave, limiting access for patients, the wounded and students.
GMO Director Ismail Al-Thawabta warned earlier in a separate statement on Wednesday that the enclave is going through a catastrophic and highly sensitive humanitarian phase that requires urgent intervention and exceptional measures.
He called on the National Committee for the Administration of Gaza to move beyond “deadly waiting” and immediately enter the territory to assume its administrative and service responsibilities.
Al-Thawabta said government teams in Gaza are ready to work under the committee’s leadership and use all available resources to maintain basic services and ease the worsening suffering of Palestinians.
The GMO held Israel fully responsible for the deterioration of conditions in Gaza and urged mediators and guarantors of the ceasefire agreement to pressure Israel to implement all provisions of the deal and stop its ongoing violations.
