GMO reports more than 4,000 Israeli ceasefire violations since truce

GAZA, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), Gaza’s Government Media Office (GMO) has accused the Israeli occupation army of systematically violating the ceasefire, calling its actions a flagrant breach of international humanitarian law and a defiance of UN resolutions.

In a statement on Tuesday, GMO director Ismail al‑Thawabta affirmed government teams have recorded ongoing Israeli violations since the ceasefire started, noting that statistics reveal a deliberate plan to prolong aggression and worsen the humanitarian situation in the Strip.

“The officially documented violations since the ceasefire took effect have exceeded 4,000, including land, air, and sea assaults, as well as direct targeting of residential neighborhoods and shelter centers,” Thawabta said.

“These violations have resulted in the martyrdom of more than 1,252 Palestinians, mostly children, women, and civilians, and injured over 4,120 others with varying degrees of severity. This has further burdened a health system, which already faces acute, systematic exhaustion,” Thawabta added.

“These shocking figures constitute full‑fledged war crimes and crimes against humanity, adding to Israel’s black record in the genocidal war it is waging against the Palestinians in Gaza,” he said.

He urged the UN, Security Council, and rights groups to move beyond rhetoric and take concrete action to curb Israel’s aggression against Gaza people and hold Israeli leaders accountable for their ongoing crimes.
