GMO slams international inaction over Israel’s ceasefire violations in Gaza

GAZA, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), The Government Media Office (GMO) in Gaza has condemned the international community’s silence over Israel’s ongoing crimes and violations in the Strip, stressing that children and civilians continue to be targeted in persistent breach of the ceasefire agreement.

In a statement on Monday, GMO accused the Israeli occupation regime of blatantly defying the international community by persisting in its crimes and violations in Gaza, holding it and the international community fully responsible, legally, morally, and historically, for the ongoing genocide and attacks on civilians, children, and mosques.

“The number of children killed since the start of the war has exceeded 21,500, a toll that reflects the scale of the humanitarian catastrophe caused by Israel’s ongoing aggression against Gaza,” GMO said.

“Israel has targeted 1,244 mosques out of 1,275 across Gaza, including 1,077 completely destroyed, as part of its wide‑scale war on civilians, places of worship, and civilian facilities,” GMO added.

The GMO urged mediators to take decisive action and adopt a firm stance to stop Israeli ceasefire violations in Gaza and enforce full compliance with the agreement.

The Israeli occupation army launched a wave of heavy strikes across Gaza on Monday, killing and wounding numerous people, including children, while issuing new evacuation orders targeting displaced families living in central areas.
