GRC Holds Israeli Army Responsible for Militia Crimes in Gaza

GAZA, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), The Gaza Rights Center (GRC) has held the Israeli occupation army responsible for crimes and violations committed by armed militias operating under its protection and support in areas east of the Gaza Strip.

In a statement Monday, GRC accused these militias of raiding displacement camps, kidnapping residents, and orchestrating campaigns of intimidation.

GRC described the incidents as “part of a systematic Israeli effort to use proxy groups to enforce control over civilians and destabilize local security.”

“Gunmen from these militias raided a displacement camp near the Abu Hamid rotary in central Khan Yunis in the early hours of Monday, November 2, 2026, and abducted several residents under the cover of Israeli military fire,” GRC reported.

GRC added that Israeli quadcopter drones dropped bombs and opened fire around the camp during the raid, underscoring the level of operational coordination between Israeli forces and the militias.

“The incident is part of a pattern of similar attacks across Gaza in recent months, in which gunmen raid areas where residents and displaced people are gathered, open fire, and attempt to kidnap citizens, while Israeli forces provide covering fire to facilitate their movement and extraction,” GRC elaborated.
