Hamada: All Israeli attempts to change status quo at Aqsa will fail

Hamas spokesman for Occupied Jerusalem, Muhammad Hamada, confirmed that all Israeli attempts to change the status quo at the Aqsa Mosque will fail in the face of the steadfastness of the Palestinian people.

“Our people are completely aware of the Israeli plans and threats to change the status quo at the Aqsa Mosque”, Hamada said.

The Hamas official further called on the Palestinian people to intensify their presence at the holy site.

Hamada called on the Arab and Islamic nations to support Jerusalem and Aqsa Mosque, stressing the importance of a major international position against the occupation’s crimes against the Palestinian people and their holy sites.

This came in the wake of an Israeli plan proposed by a member of the Israeli Knesset, Amit Halevi, to divide the Aqsa Mosque.
