Hamas calls for intensified resistance against settler violence in West Bank

WEST BANK, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), Hamas official Abdul Rahman Shadid called on Palestinians across the occupied West Bank to strengthen their presence in communities targeted by Israeli settlement expansion and to confront attacks by Israeli settlers through all available means.

In a statement on Thursday, Shadid urged Palestinians to increase mobilization, maintain a constant presence in threatened villages and towns, and work to disrupt Israel’s plans for annexation and forced displacement.

He said settler violence would not succeed in breaking the will of the Palestinian people or uprooting them from their land, adding that resistance and steadfastness remain the most effective means of confronting Israeli occupation policies and settlement expansion.

Shadid also stressed that the current situation requires greater national unity and mobilization, adding that the ongoing attacks are part of an organized effort to impose forced displacement, seize Palestinian land, and undermine Palestinian resilience throughout the occupied West Bank.

He praised the steadfastness of Palestinians in villages and towns subjected to repeated settler attacks, commending residents for defending their land and property. He also called for strengthening community protection committees, supporting vulnerable communities, and expanding grassroots and national activities to reinforce Palestinian resilience and counter Israeli settlement plans.
