Hamas Calls for Justice on Ibrahimi Mosque Massacre Anniversary

AL-KHALIL, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), The Hamas Movement on Wednesday marked the 32nd anniversary of the Ibrahimi Mosque massacre by calling for Israeli leaders to be prosecuted for crimes against Palestinians and their holy sites.

In a statement, the Movement said the February 25, 1994 attack, when Israeli settler Baruch Goldstein opened fire on worshippers during dawn prayers at the Ibrahimi Mosque in al-Khalil, killing 29 Palestinians and wounding dozens, remains a defining symbol of what it described as Israeli violence against civilians.

The Movement also called on international bodies, including UNESCO, to take legal and moral responsibility by condemning ongoing violations and pressuring Israel to halt measures affecting the Ibrahimi Mosque and al-Khalil’s Old City.
