GAZA, (PIC), The Hamas Movement has strongly denounced the terrorist attack carried out by the Israeli occupation navy against “Global Sumud Flotilla” boats heading for the besieged Gaza Strip, while they were in international waters near the Greek island of Crete.
“This Israeli act of piracy, which happened far from the shores of the blockaded Gaza Strip, constitutes a crime and an act of anarchy perpetrated by the terrorist occupation government in full view of the world, without deterrence or accountability,” Hamas said in a statement on Thursday.
Hamas called for international action to secure the release of the detained activists and to hold Israel fully responsible for their safety.
The Movement hailed the activists taking part in the second Gaza‑bound voyage of the Global Sumud Flotilla, urging them to stand firm and continue their vital humanitarian role in exposing Israel’s crimes and its deliberate starvation of the people of Gaza.
