GAZA, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), The Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, confirmed that the Israeli bombing that targeted, Wednesday afternoon, a headquarters for the civil police in Gaza City, which resulted in the martyrdom of nine people and the injury of 15 others, including a number of police personnel and officers, represents a “war crime” and comes within the framework of the Israeli attempts to undermine the ceasefire agreement.
The Movement said in a statement that the massacre reflects the insistence of premier Benjamin Netanyahu’s government to evade its obligations and refuse to proceed with completing the stages of the ceasefire agreement, pointing out that the targeting came following intensive meetings with mediators, guarantors, and the US envoy to the region, Jared Kushner.
Hamas refuted the claims of the occupation army regarding the targeting of leaders in the resistance, describing them as “false claims” aimed at justifying the direct targeting of the civil police apparatus and civilians.
The Movement considered that the systematic targeting of civil security services aims to create security instability, spread chaos, and strike the foundations of stability in the Gaza Strip, in a way that serves forced displacement plans.
Hamas demanded that the mediators, guarantors, and the US administration take a firm stance obligating Israel to stop its violations, and apply all terms of the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip.
Earlier today, sources in Gaza reported the martyrdom of nine people and the injury of 15 others as a result of Israeli bombing that targeted the municipal police headquarters in the center of Gaza City.
For its part, the Ministry of Interior and National Security in Gaza announced that the occupation army committed a “new brutal massacre” against officers and members of the civil police apparatus in Gaza City, confirming that the Israeli claims used to justify the bombing are baseless.
The ministry said that Israel seeks to disintegrate the civil police apparatus with the aim of spreading chaos within the Palestinian society and striking the state of stability.
The bombing comes in conjunction with ongoing talks and diplomatic efforts in Cairo between mediators and resistance factions, at a time when efforts related to the second phase of the roadmap plan continue.
US President Donald Trump announced on July 31, 2026 reaching a “new agreement” to proceed with the second phase of the roadmap. Meanwhile, Palestinian factions accuse Israel of continuing to violate the ceasefire agreement signed on October 10, 2025 in the Egyptian city of Sharm El-Sheikh, with Arab and American mediation.
