Hamas condemns settlers’ raids into Aqsa Mosque

OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (The Palestine Information Centre)Spokesman of the Hamas Movement for Occupied Jerusalem, Muhammad Hamada, confirmed that the escalated settler incursions into the Aqsa Mosque “will only increase our people’s adherence to their sanctities and strengthen their resistance against Israeli Judaization attempts.”

Renewed incursions into the Aqsa Mosque will not succeed in changing the identity of Jerusalem and the holy site, he said.

Hamada praised Palestinian worshipers in Jerusalem, calling for intensifying the Palestinian presence at the holy shrine.

The Jerusalem Endowments Department earlier declared that 1,462 settlers stormed the Aqsa Mosque on the fifth day of the Sukkot holiday on Wednesday.

Hamada considered the ongoing Israeli incursions into the holy Islamic site a “provocative Zionist behavior that adds fuel to the fire.”

He further said that the settler incursions came as part of the Israeli religious war against the Palestinian people and attempts to impose spatial and temporal divisions on the Aqsa Mosque.
