GAZA, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), The Hamas Movement has condemned a series of deadly Israeli strikes across Gaza on Sunday that left at least 18 Palestinians dead and wiped out entire families.
In a statement on Sunday, Hamas accused the Israeli occupation government of deliberately escalating its crimes in Gaza to derail recent ceasefire arrangements brokered with mediators, including the US administration.
Hamas called on mediators to denounce Israel’s latest strikes on Gaza and to press the Israeli government to abide by the ceasefire agreement.
“These brutal acts, which amount to war crimes and crimes against humanity, require official and legal action by the international community to hold Israeli leaders accountable and to take measures that protect the Palestinian people, who continue to face the threat of extermination and displacement,” Hamas said.
Six Palestinian civilians, including a child, were killed and several others were injured on Sunday evening in two Israeli airstrikes west of Gaza City, bringing the total death toll from attacks across the Strip since the early morning hours to 18.
