Hamas delegation heads to Egypt for talks with ceasefire mediators

CAIRO, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), The Hamas Movement has announced that its negotiating delegation is scheduled to travel today, Tuesday, to the Egyptian capital Cairo to resume talks on launching and implementing the second phase of the ceasefire agreement.

In a statement, Hamas said that its delegation would hold meetings with Egyptian officials and mediators from Egypt, Qatar, and Türkiye, as well as with representatives of Palestinian factions.

The meetings aim to solidify the ceasefire and ensure implementation of the commitments already agreed upon in Sharm el‑Sheikh, particularly with regard to improving the humanitarian conditions in Gaza and advancing the second phase of US President Donald Trump’s plan.

Despite the ceasefire, the Israeli occupation forces continue to attack and kill displaced civilians in Gaza and carry out demolitions inside the “Yellow Lone,” while maintaining tight restrictions on the travel of patients and the entry of goods and aid.
