WEST BANK, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), Senior Hamas official Abdul-Rahman Shadeed condemned the Israeli seizure of more swaths of land in Jenin’s Qabatiya town, calling it “part of an escalating open war on the occupied West Bank aimed at displacing Palestinians and expanding settlements.”
“Our people will not yield to this settlement encroachment, and will remain steadfastly attached to their land and property, refusing to leave them easy prey for settlers,” Shadeed said in a statement on Saturday.
Shadeed stressed that West Bank land annexations expose a “dangerous agenda” by the Israeli occupation government, aimed at appealing to voters ahead of the upcoming Knesset elections.
The Hamas official called on West Bank residents to close ranks against settler violence and support those affected by land grabs, emphasizing the need to make the ongoing settlement campaign costly for the Israeli occupation.
