CAIRO, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), The Hamas Movement submitted on Saturday the Palestinian factions’ response to the roadmap plan, which it had received on April 19 from Nickolay Mladenov, the Board of Peace representative.
According to a statement released on Sunday by Hamas, delegations from Palestinian factions and mediators (Egypt, Qatar, and Türkiye) held several meetings in Cairo over the past week. These meetings culminated in the formulation of a unified national stance, which was submitted yesterday.
Hamas highlighted that the Palestinian factions dealt with the roadmap for the second phase of the US president’s plan with a high sense of responsibility and positivity.
Hamas stressed the importance of fully implementing the first phase of the ceasefire agreement, particularly regarding the humanitarian protocol and halting all forms of aggression against the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.
Furthermore, the Movement underscored the need for full commitment to the roadmap’s provisions regarding the entry of the administrative committee, a complete Israeli military withdrawal from the Gaza Strip, and the launch of reconstruction efforts.
