WEST BANK, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), The Hamas Movement has condemned a new agreement between the Israeli occupation government and the northern West Bank settlement council, which greenlights 12,000 new housing units for Jewish settlers.
In a statement released on Tuesday, Hamas warned of severe repercussions following this agreement, which also allocates 8 billion shekels to develop settlement infrastructure in the West Bank, describing the move as a “dangerous escalation in Israel’s settlement expansion policy.”
Hamas stressed that this agreement is part of a broader Israeli plan to seize and annex the West Bank, accusing the Israeli government of exploiting US support and international silence.
The Movement called for a unified Palestinian response, urging the strengthening of resistance and all forms of confrontation to block Israel’s settlement policies.
