OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), The Israeli police forces expelled two Palestinian residents of Occupied Jerusalem from the Aqsa Mosque on Wednesday.
According to local sources, the Israeli authorities issued an order banning Jerusalemite Tareq Saadeh Al-Abbasi from entering the Aqsa Mosque for six months.
The sources also said that Islamic Waqf employee Mohammad Al-Dabbagh was barred from the Mosque for one week, with the possibility of extension up to six months.
The expulsions come as part of an ongoing campaign by Israeli forces to summon and expel Jerusalemites, particularly with the approach of the holy month of Ramadan, in an apparent effort to prevent them from accessing the Aqsa Mosque and performing religious seclusion (i’tikaf) at the holy site.
