OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), The Israeli occupation authority (IOA) demolished two Palestinian homes and one commercial facility in the town of Jaba, north of Jerusalem, under the pretext of unlicensed construction.
According to local sources, bulldozers escorted by police forces stormed Jaba town and demolished a two-story house belonging to Ziyad Sultan.
13 people, including women and children, lived in the two apartments of the house.
The bulldozers also knocked down a commercial facility belonging to Sultan in the same town.
The two‑story building had stood for 11 years. A week earlier, the owner was fined 10,000 shekels by the Israeli municipality, and two days after that, on Sunday, he was served an immediate demolition order for allegedly building without a permit, with no time given to appeal or seek retroactive licensing.
Since the genocidal war on Gaza started in October 2023, Israeli demolition operations have escalated significantly in various parts of the West Bank and Jerusalem with the aim of displacing and expelling Palestinians from their areas.
