OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), The Israeli occupation authority (IOA) issued on Sunday evacuation orders targeting a Palestinian house and parts of two others in the east Jerusalem district of Silwan, south of the Aqsa Mosque.
One evacuation order has targeted the home of Naim Maragha, built in 1966 with an area of 40 square meters and housing four residents.
The IOA also issued evacuation notices for parts of inhabited Silwan homes belonging to the families of Salah Maragha and teacher Enaam Maragha.
Earlier, the IOA forced Ma’moun Shuyukhi to demolish his own home in the al‑Ain al‑Fuqa neighborhood of Silwan under the pretext of unlicensed construction. A family of five, including three children, lived in the house.
In Silwan, relentless demolition and eviction orders risk uprooting whole families to make room for extremist Jewish settlers.
In a separate incident, the Israeli occupation army ordered a Palestinian resident to halt construction on a building in the al‑Marij area of Deir Ballut town, west of Salfit.
