WEST BANK, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) raided the Abu Faza’a Bedouin community east of the town of Taybeh, east of Ramallah, on Sunday evening, abusing residents, terrorizing children, and destroying surveillance cameras installed by the community to document repeated Jewish settler attacks.
Local sources reported that the IOF detained residents of the community for hours before mistreating them and throwing stun grenades between homes, causing widespread fear and panic, particularly among children.
The sources added that the IOF troops deliberately destroyed surveillance cameras installed throughout the community, which residents had been using to document ongoing attacks against them for months. The attack raised fears among residents that the destruction of the cameras could be a prelude to another attack by Jewish settlers.
The isolated and besieged Abu Faza’a Bedouin community has faced repeated attacks and restrictive measures targeting its residents and threatening its continued existence, amid growing concerns that escalating assaults are intended to force them to leave their homes and land.
In a related incident, Jewish settlers attacked farmers and olive harvesters from the Ubaid al-Masri family in the al-Rahniya area of Masafer Yatta, south of al-Khalil, on Sunday.
Local sources said a group of Jewish settlers assaulted members of the family while they were harvesting olives on their land. No injuries were reported in the latest attack targeting Palestinian farmers during the olive harvest season.
