SALFIT(Palestine Foundation Information Center) Israeli occupation forces (IOF) escorted by bulldozers stormed the town of Deir Istiya, west of Salfit, and uprooted hundreds of olive and almond trees.
The settlement activist Nazmi Al-Salman reported that Israeli heavy vehicles bulldozed dozens of dunums and uprooted hundreds of trees in the “Al-Qa’dah” area, north of Deir Istiya, on Tuesday.
He told WAFA news agency that the IOF bulldozing of the agricultural land caused damage to a number of water wells.
He explained that the targeted lands are located near a pastoral settlement outpost established by Jewish settlers last October, noting that the owners of the bulldozed agricultural lands have since then been prevented from accessing their lands.
Earlier, the mayor of Deir Istiya, Firas Diab, said that the settlers had completely taken control of a large part of the lands of al-Qa’dah and other areas in the town.
According to a report by Human Rights Watch, settler attacks on Palestinian lands have led to the displacement of more than 1,200 Palestinians from 20 residential communities and led to the complete removal of at least seven other communities since the start of the genocidal war on Gaza.
