WEST BANK, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) launched fresh raids and arrests across several West Bank governorates early on Wednesday, detaining Palestinians, confiscating equipment, and carrying out widespread incursions, while Jewish settlers escalated their attacks by setting fire to two vehicles in the town of Beita, south of Nablus.
In Tubas, the IOF arrested two young men from the town of Aqaba, north of the governorate, after raiding their homes.
Six arrested, workshop raided in Nablus
In Nablus, the IOF arrested six Palestinians during raids on Balata refugee camp, east of the city, and the Old City.
Security sources said IOF troops raided Balata refugee camp and arrested three Palestinians.
Israeli forces also raided a workshop in the city and confiscated equipment before arresting its owner and his two sons after raiding their home in the al-Jawza neighborhood of the Old City.
Four Palestinians detained in al-Rashayda
In Bethlehem, Israeli forces detained four Palestinians from the village of al-Rashayda, east of the governorate, and subjected them to field interrogation.
Security sources confirmed that IOF raided the village and several homes before detaining and interrogating four local men.
IOF seizes waste collection tractor in al-Sawiya
South of Nablus, Israeli forces seized a tractor belonging to the al-Sawiya Village Council.
Local sources said Israeli forces confiscated the tractor, which was being used for waste collection in the al-Sahl area, and took it to an unknown location.
IOF carries out major raid on Beit Lid
In Tulkarem, Israeli troops raided the town of Beit Lid, east of the city, deploying large numbers of military vehicles and troops throughout the town’s streets and neighborhoods.
Local sources said a large number of Israeli military vehicles entered the town and drove through its streets and neighborhoods, while infantry troops deployed among homes and orchards as Israeli forces fired flares into the sky.
The sources added that Israeli forces raided and searched several Palestinian homes and subjected residents to field interrogations. No arrests had been reported at the time of publication.
Jewish settlers torch two vehicles in Beita
In a separate attack, a group of settlers set fire to two vehicles in the town of Beita, south of Nablus, early today.
Local sources said the settlers attacked the eastern part of the town and set fire to two vehicles parked outside Palestinian homes.
The attack comes amid escalating settler attacks across the occupied West Bank. Last month, 628 settler attacks were documented, including 157 in Ramallah and al-Bireh, 137 in Nablus, 120 in al-Khalil, 73 in Bethlehem, 40 in Tubas, 36 in Jenin, and 31 in Occupied Jerusalem.
