WEST BANK, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), Different areas of the occupied West Bank witnessed a simultaneous Israeli escalation at dawn Monday, marked by settler attacks against Palestinians and their property, alongside raids on homes and arrests carried out by Israeli soldiers.
In Ramallah, a group of settlers stormed the village of Deir Jarir, east of the city, and opened live fire among Palestinian homes in an apparent attempt to intimidate residents, triggering skirmishes with local youths.
Settlers also continued targeting the outskirts of Burqa village in eastern Ramallah while Israeli soldiers protected them as they hurled stones at vehicles and homes.
In Nablus, settlers escorted by Israeli soldiers attacked homes in the al-Dhahra area and the plain of al-Hara al-Tahta in the town of Beita.
Those settlers also stormed neighborhoods in the town and assaulted and injured a Palestinian man and his children. They also stole a number of sheep and livestock from land belonging to the town.
In the northern West Bank, armed settlers assaulted Palestinians in the Wadi al-Shaer area east of Salfit, wounding two people, and attempted to set fire to nearby swaths of agricultural land.
In east Jerusalem, Israeli police forces imposed tight restrictions on the movement of Palestinian residents and Muslim worshipers in the holy city, while allowing extremist Jewish settlers to commit violations and provocative practices in the Old City.
Meanwhile, the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) stormed different areas of the West Bank, searching homes and detaining a number of residents amid tightened measures at checkpoints and on roads.
In Tubas, Israeli forces raided the town of Tammun, south of the city, and kidnaped several residents after storming and searching their homes.
In Tulkarem, the IOF kidnaped a young man from his home in the town of Kafr Sur and two others from the town of Baqa ash-Sharqiyya.
Another citizen was taken prisoner following an IOF raid in the eastern neighborhood of Tulkarem City.
In al-Khalil, Israeli forces broke into and ransacked several homes before kidnaping at least six citizens.
In Nablus, the IOF carried out raids in the towns of Beita, Qabalan and Huwara, where Israeli soldiers detained and interrogated dozens of residents. They also ordered the closure of businesses and spread in the area.
