IOF detains Palestinians and blocks roads in West Bank

WEST BANK, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) carried out raids on homes, kidnaped a number of Palestinian citizens, and closed roads during campaigns in the West Bank last night and at dawn Tuesday.

According to local sources, the IOF kidnaped two teenagers and assaulted another during raids on homes in the town of Silwad, northeast of Ramallah.

Israeli forces also stormed the village of Abu Falah, northeast of Ramallah, and fired tear gas canisters at businesses for no reason.

A child was reportedly kidnaped from his home in al-Am’ari refugee camp in Ramallah.

In Bethlehem, the IOF stormed the village of Umm Salmuna, ransacked homes, and interrogated several residents.

In Nablus, one young man was taken prisoner following an IOF raid in the village of Salem.

In Tulkarem, the IOF escalated their military measures in Tulkarem refugee camp in the morning by closing several roads inside and around it, particularly those leading to the Dhanabah neighborhood.

The IOF reportedly blocked roads with mounds of dirt and rocks as well as with military vehicles and infantry units in and around the refugee camp.

Local sources said that reinforcements of military vehicles and bulldozers came from the “Nitzanei Oz” gate west of Tulkarem and spread throughout the camp’s neighborhoods and surrounding areas, amid drone overflights.

Israeli forces also forced several families to leave their homes around the camp, particularly near Ajyal Venue Street, Hanoun Square, and the western parts of the Dhanabah neighborhood, as a prelude to carrying out demolition operations inside the camp.
