IOF kidnaps Palestinians during W. Bank raids

WEST BANK, (The Palestine Information Centre)The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) kidnapped at dawn Wednesday a number of Palestinian citizens during raids in different West Bank areas.

According to local sources, the IOF kidnaped a citizen at the military checkpoint of Zaatara in southern Nablus as he was traveling back to his home from Ramallah.

In Jenin, Israeli forces kidnaped four young men from their homes in Qabatiya town.

Two others were taken prisoners during IOF raids in Qaffin town, northeast of Tulkarem, and the east Jerusalem town of al-Ram.

Israeli police officers also raided the house of Jerusalemite activist Nafisa Khuwais in at-Tur town and handed her a summons for interrogation.

In Nablus, the IOF stormed the towns of Beita and Yatmar and clashed with angry local youths.

Local sources said that the IOF prevented Palestinian ambulances from entering Beita town through the Huwara checkpoint, adding that an ambulance managed to evacuate one wounded citizen to Ibn Sina Hospital
