IOF kidnaps several Palestinians from W. Bank areas

WEST BANK (Palestine Foundation Information Center) The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) kidnaped last night and at dawn Monday a number of Palestinian citizens during raids in the West Bank, amid clashes with local youths and resistance fighters in some areas.

According to local sources, the IOF stormed different neighborhoods of Nablus City, raided homes and interrogated local residents.

Two young citizens, both from Jenin, were also taken at the Awarta checkpoint near Nablus.

The IOF reportedly kidnaped a number of Gazan workmen from the Nablus Football Stadium and wreaked havoc on the contents of a printing press in Hattin street in Nablus City, while eyewitnesses reported that Israeli soldiers are still in the stadium.

Meanwhile, resistance fighters showered Israeli forces with bullets and detonated one explosive device at them during the IOF raid in Nablus.

In Tulkarem, the IOF raided the house of Alaa Shreiteh (ex-detainee) in the city and kidnaped his mother, wife and brother, for the second consecutive time, in order to pressure him to turn himself in.

Resistance fighters clashed with the Israeli forces in Tulkarem and detonated an explosive device at one of their vehicles.

Last night, resistance fighters also opened fire at the checkpoint of Nitzanei Oz settlement and at a gathering of IOF vehicles at the military road barrier (104 crossing) in western Tulkarem.

In Jenin, the IOF stormed different villages and towns in the northeast of Jenin, with no reported arrests.

In Ramallah, Israeli forces stormed Silwad town and raided homes, including the house of journalist Zakariya Hammad.

In Jericho, the IOF kidnaped a young man after encircling his house in Ein as-Sultan refugee camp.

In Bethlehem, two citizens were kidnaped by the IOF from their homes in Beit Jala town and al-Deheisha refugee camp.

In al-Khalil, three young men were kidnaped in IOF raids on homes in the towns of Beit Ummar town and Idhna.

In east Jerusalem, Israeli police forces raided several homes and kidnaped a number of teenagers in Issawiya district and put up warning flyers on walls threatening to arrest anyone who participates in what they called riots and violence during the holy month of Ramadan.
