IOF launches massive raids and arrests across West Bank

WEST BANK, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), The Israeli occupation forces carried out a series of large-scale raids and incursions across multiple areas of the West Bank late last night and early Thursday morning.

The operations involved home searches, arrests, assaults on residents, and the conversion of several homes into military outposts, with the heaviest activity reported in the al-Khalil, Nablus, and Qalqilya governorates.

In Tulkarem, the IOF stormed the towns of Deir al-Ghusun and Baqa al-Sharqiya north of the city, raiding several homes and causing extensive property damage.

In Tubas, a large-scale incursion was reported in Al-Far’a refugee camp south of the governorate, with Israeli military vehicles deployed throughout the area.

In Qalqilya, Israeli forces carried out widespread raids across several neighborhoods, particularly Al-Naqqar neighborhood. During the operation, they arrested two people, including a former prisoner who was taken from his home only hours after being discharged from intensive care while still in poor health. His home was also ransacked during the raid.

In Nablus, the IOF entered the city through the Huwwara checkpoint and arrested several young men. Raids also continued in the towns of Beit Furik, east of the city, and Qasra southeast of Nablus, where homes were searched.

In Salfit, Israeli forces stormed the town of Deir Istiya northwest of the city and converted a residential home into a military outpost.

In the Ramallah area, Israeli troops raided the village of Umm Safa northwest of the city and arrested Youssef Falna from the nearby village of Safa after storming and searching his home.

Bethlehem also witnessed escalations as Israeli forces entered the town of Beit Fajjar south of the city and arrested two brothers. In the town of Tuqu’ southeast of Bethlehem, a wounded young man was arrested during the raid.

Al-Khalil saw the most severe violations. A young man was shot and wounded by Israeli forces during a raid in the town of Tarqumiya, west of the city.

In the town of Al-Shuyukh, north of al-Khalil, Israeli forces arrested former female prisoner Shaimaa Halaika after storming her family’s home. Additional raids were carried out in Al-Arroub and Al-Fawwar refugee camps, as well as the town of Beit Ummar. Residents in Al-Fawwar camp reported being severely beaten inside their homes.

Further south in Dura, specifically in the village of Al-Hijra, Israeli forces converted several homes into military outposts. Meanwhile, in the city of Yatta, IOF troops raided multiple homes and fired large numbers of stun grenades in an apparent attempt to intimidate residents.
