AL-KHALIL, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) launched a large-scale military operation across several areas of al-Khalil City in the southern West Bank last night and at dawn Saturday, raiding homes, displacing Palestinian citizens, and imposing restrictions throughout the city.
As part of the IOF campaign, the Israeli army reportedly demolished structures, closed roads and main entrances, and imposed additional military measures across the governorate.
This IOF campaign, which is expected to continue for several days, comes in the wake of yesterday’s shooting attack in the north of al-Khalil that killed two Israeli soldiers and wounded four others.
According to local sources, a large number of Israeli troops with bulldozers stormed several neighborhoods of al-Khalil City, amid raids on many homes and demolitions.
Israeli forces reportedly forced several Palestinian families to evacuate their homes in al-Khalil City, mainly in the Jalda area, and subjected residents to searches and questioning, while imposing tight movement restrictions and closing roads and entrances across the city and nearby areas.
