AL-KHALIL, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), For the fourth consecutive day, the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) continued their large-scale military operation in the southern West Bank’s al-Khalil Governorate on Monday, marked by different violations, including raids, arrests, and attacks on Palestinian citizens.
According to media sources, Israeli military reinforcements and armored vehicles entered al-Khalil City around midnight through the Farsh al-Hawa entrance. Simultaneously, troops raided the city’s southern district near Jabal Karbaj while additional forces and heavy trucks stormed the al-Jalda area.
The IOF reportedly seized several Palestinian vehicles, while additional military reinforcements arrived in the Ein Deir Baha area of the city and confiscated more vehicles.
Footage from the area showed Israeli soldiers assaulting a young Palestinian near the al-Jalda rotary in al-Khalil City.
Eyewitnesses reported that Israeli forces divided a road in the Jabal al-Rahma area of the city between Palestinians and settlers, in a measure that further limits the movement of local residents in the area.
Israeli forces broke into and ransacked dozens of homes across al-Khalil City and some nearby areas, amid assaults on citizens and widespread arrests.
Al-Khalil governor Khaled Dudeen said Israeli forces displaced around 450 families and more than 2,300 residents from the Deir Baha and al‑Jalda areas of the city.
The governor added that the IOF had also searched more than 500 homes and kidnaped over 70 residents since the start of its military operation.
He warned of an escalating military operation in al-Khalil, reporting that Israeli forces ransacked homes, terrorized residents, set up interrogation centers, and opened fire at civilian vehicles.
